The Path Recovery Living for Women Announces Dana's Hope for Recovery Housing Scholarship Fund

Supporting Women in Recovery by Honoring Dana Hendrickson’s Legacy

Forest Park, Illinois - October 22, 2024 - The Path Recovery Living for Women is proud to announce the establishment of Dana's Hope for Recovery Housing Scholarship Fund, created in honor of Dana Hendrickson, who tragically lost her battle with addiction on April 8th, 2017. Dana’s journey was one of courage and resilience. Through this fund, her legacy will live on by helping other women secure the stable, supportive housing they need to achieve long-term recovery.

The Path is dedicated to providing safe and nurturing environments where women in recovery can rebuild their lives. However, the financial burden of securing stable housing is an obstacle for many. Dana's Hope for Recovery Housing Scholarship Fund is designed to address this challenge by offering financial assistance to women committed to recovery but facing difficulties in affording housing.

"Our mission is to support women in their recovery journey, just as Dana fought to overcome the challenges of addiction. This scholarship fund will help remove one of the largest barriers to recovery—access to stable, safe housing," said Patricia Saenz, Founder of The Path Recovery Housing for Women. "Dana’s story reminds us of the importance of providing the necessary resources to ensure that women have the opportunity to thrive in their recovery."

The Path Recovery Living for Women invites the community and supporters to contribute to the scholarship fund. Your donations will directly impact women like Dana, providing them with the essential housing needed for a strong foundation in recovery.

Applications are now open for Dana's Hope for Recovery Housing Scholarship. The scholarship offers financial aid to cover housing expenses for women dedicated to recovery. Please note that all applicants must be willing to be interviewed by funders, demonstrate principles of recovery or be a member of an alumni group, and be able to commit to two weeks at a time at our recovery home. The fund aims to empower these women to focus on their personal growth and long-term sobriety by supporting their housing stability.

How to Apply: Women in recovery can complete the application on The Path's website to apply. Applicants are encouraged to share their personal stories as part of the process, allowing the fund to support those most in need.

Donate Today: Help us continue Dana’s legacy by donating to the Dana's Hope for Recovery Housing Scholarship Fund. Your contribution will make a lasting impact, providing more women with the opportunity to achieve recovery and build a brighter future.
